Dr Hayden Morris
Dr Hayden Morris completed his Orthopaedic training in 1992 and then undertook overseas study in Europe, Britain and the USA specialising in musculoskeletal and knee surgery.
Dr Morris' main interest is in the discipline of knee surgery with techniques including arthroscopy, knee reconstruction and knee replacement. His special areas of research are in the development of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and uni compartmental knee replacement. New techniques such as meniscal replacement and autologous chondrocyte
implantations are also an area of study.
Dr Morris works extensively with elite athletes, having a professional affiliation with the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre and Alphington Sports Medicine Centre in Melbourne, Australia. He has an affiliation on a consulting basis with a number of sporting teams including the Richmond, Geelong and St Kilda AFL Clubs, the Melbourne Storm rugby league team, The Australian Ski team, Melbourne Tigers Basketball Team,
and Athletics Australia.
He also has a keen interest in teaching and is a director of the Melbourne Knee Fellowship, responsible for training overseas specialists in knee surgery.
