SOUTH AUSTRALIA ADELAIDE Dr Michael Sandow specialises in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery for injuries and disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. After completing his Orthopaedic training in 1987 in Adelaide. Dr Sandow sub-specialised in hand and upper limb surgery, obtaining a Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery in 1988/89 in North Carolina, USA. He also completed an Enrolled Master Surgery Course at The University of Adelaide. In 1995 he was awarded the Hong Kong Travelling Fellowship, followed closely by the A.B.C Travelling Fellowship in 1996. Dr Michael Sandow has significant expertise in the diagnostic imaging world as a result of his involvement for the last 10 years in the development of innovative 3D imaging software for patient diagnosis and treatment planning as well as research and teaching. He is a Senior Visiting Specialist and Head of the hand and upper limb service, Department of Orthopaedics at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He also holds the positions of Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide. Dr Sandow has given many invited papers internationally, and is on several national industry and government advisory committees relating to diagnostic imaging. He is the Australian Editor of the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and an active member of the prime professional bodies for orthopaedic surgery, shoulder surgery and hand surgery both in the US and Australia (AOA, ASOS, ASES, ASSH, AHSS, AAOS).
