SOUTH AUSTRALIA ADELAIDE Dr Richard Pope specialises in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Dr Pope completed his Orthopaedic training in Adelaide in 1990, then additional advanced training in Fixation of Hand, Utah, 1991; Arthroscopic Surgery in Charleston, South Carolina, 1991; and Microvascular Surgery in Melbourne in 1992. Dr Pope is currently appointed as a Senior Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Royal Adelaide Hospital Upper Limb Unit, and holds lecturing positions at The University of Adelaide and Flinders University School of Medicine. He is a past member of the AOA Orthopaedic Training Committee for SA, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia. He is also a member of the Australian Hand Surgery Society. Dr Pope is a member of the Wakefield Sports Clinic which provides medical treatment to many of South Australia's professional and amateur sporting clubs and athletes.
