Assooc Professor Leo Pinczewski

Assooc Professor Leo Pinczewski specialises in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee and has a special interest in ACL reconstructive surgery and joint replacement.

On the completion of his Orthopaedic training in 1983, Assooc Professor Leo Pinczewski performed a Fellowship in Arthritis Surgery in Edinburgh in 1982 before returning to Australia to commence practice in 1984.

Assooc Professor Pinczewski is internationally renowned for his research and development in the field of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and joint replacement surgery. He has performed over 10,000 ACL reconstructions and continues clinical research in the fields of arthroscopic reconstruction and knee arthroplasty. He has been invited to demonstrate his surgical techniques in 20 countries to date and is frequently invited to present his research at international forums.

Assooc Professor Pinczewski teaches an instructional course in cruciate ligament surgery at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and has been awarded five research awards for his contributions to knee surgery. In 2004, he was awarded an honorary life membership to the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
