Dr Michael O’Sullivan
Dr Michael O'Sullivan specialises in hip surgery with a special interest in hip replacement and arthroscopy, particularly primary and revision hip surgery, including resurfacing procedures.
Dr O'Sullivan was awarded his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1998, and then undertook extensive training in hip and joint replacement.
In 1998 Dr O’Sullivan completed a Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at The Institute of Bone & Joint Disorders in Phoenix, Arizona under the supervision of Dr Tony Hedley. He then went on to a Fellowship in Hip Arthroplasty Surgery at The Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter before returning to Australia where Dr O’Sullivan undertook further training with Dr William Walter at The Mater Misericordiae Hospital.
As part of his commitment to Hip Replacement Surgery, Dr O’Sullivan is an active member of The Arthroplasty Society of Australia, The Australian Orthopaedic Association & The Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society. Dr O’Sullivan often presents & is asked to speak at both Australian & International Hip Arthroplasty Meetings
