Dr Ken Crichton
Dr Ken Crichton specialises in sports medicine with particular interests in lower limb injuries, dance injuries and sports medicine in children.
Dr Crichton has been a full time Sports Physician since 1982. He holds Fellowships in the Australasian College of Sports Physicians and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (UK) and is a Fellow of the Australian Sports Medicine Federation.
He was awarded the Australian Sports Medal in 2000 for services to Australian sport having completed the role as Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Head of Athlete care for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He was also awarded Australian Dance Community Honours in 1993 and a Citation for distinguished service to the Australasian College of Sports Physicians in 2006. Dr Crichton is a former president of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians and is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of Sports Medicine programs at The University of New South Wales.
Dr Crichton consults in Crows Nest at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre.
