ACT Dr Kevin Woods specialises in knee and shoulder surgery. On completion of his Orthopaedic Fellowship in 1986, Dr Woods was a senior registrar in orthopaedic surgery at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London (1987-1988). In 1988, he was awarded the ‘A.M. Taylor Travelling Fellowship’ by the Australian Orthopaedic Association, which took him to London, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Sheffield and Tours (France). Dr Woods is currently an examiner in Orthopaedic Surgery for the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and is a member of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, and the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia. He has previously lectured for the Post-graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine at the Australian Institute of Sport, has been an instructor for the ‘Early Management of Severe Trauma’ course, run by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
